Day 1 –
>>Welcome Dinner
Today our journey to the past begins! Battlefields, the Biltmore and southern charm await as we make our way to the East coast. Lunch will take us to Kansas City, followed by a quick afternoon break. When you arrive, visit the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis, a sight unlike anything you have ever seen! Tonight we welcome everyone with a fantastic Welcome dinner together. After dinner the night is yours! (D)

Day 2 –
>>Knoxville National Cemetery
>>Market Square
Enjoy a full breakfast this morning before heading out for a day on the road! Once we arrive in Knoxville, TN we will check into our hotel then check out Market Square and Knoxville National Cemetery. Mountains meet music in this hidden gem of a city! Thre is so much to see and do here! Dinner and Knoxville are yours to explore on your own tonight! (B)

Day 3 –
>>Biltmore Mansion
At 178,926 sq ft, this is the largest privately owned estate in the US! Built for George Washington Vanderbilt in 1889 this Gilded Age Mansion is a spectacular sight and sure to be a highlight of your trip. Spend the day exploring the grounds, 250 rooms, including 35 bedrooms and 43 bathrooms! Visit the winery and village, all remodeled in the early 200s. Lunch is included in your visit! Tonight you will conclude your day at a hotel in Ashville! (B, L)

Day 4 –
Our beautiful drive today will feature mountains and rolling hills as we make our way to Charleston. Founded in 1670, Charleston is the oldest city in South Carolina and is named after King Charles II.Full of history and architecture there is much to be discovered here. Check into your hotel before heading out to meet the group! Explore the city on a city tour! Tonight, dine together with everyone then enjoy some time to get acquainted with this historic downtown. (B, D)

Day 5 –
>>Magnolia Plantation & Gardens
>>Drayton Hall
>>Boone Hall & Harbor Cruise
Breakfast will fill you up before exploring the city! Spend time today experiencing the best examples of historic southern living. Start with the famous Magnolia Plantation. Lunch is included in your tour! Then, spend the afternoon exploring Drayton Hall!. Before returning to the hotel, enjoy a harbor cruise featuring Boone Hall and other amazing sights! (B, L)

Day 6 –
>>Broxton Bridge Plantation
We depart Charleston for Chattanooga this morning. Our first stop of the day will be the historic Broxton Bridge Plantation. Built in the 1700s, this estate has been in the family for 9 generations! It is still known today as a hunters paradise! After visiting this sprawling plantation we will continue on to Tennessee. Our spectacular hotel will be the perfect spot to head out and enjoy any of the delicious downtown Chattanooga restaurants. (B)

Day 7 –
>>Battlefield of Chattanooga
>>Lookout Point Park
>>Opryland Hotel
Chattanooga is full of history! On this mornings city tour, you’ll get an in depth look at the past, present, and future of this city! After the morning tour we will visit Pointe Park, “Death knell of the Confederacy” Spectacular views and deep history are all around from the top of Lookout Mountain. Visit the battlefield of Chattanooga, the first national military park! During the Spanish-American War it was used as a training center for troops in southern states! Then, its back to the hotel for free time in Nashville (B)

Day 8 –
>>Franklin Battlefield
The Franklin Battlefield will bring history to life. Known as the “bloodiest battle of the Civil War”, find out what exactly happened here and how it played a critical role in the Civil War. Your guided tour includes lunch and a fantastic civil war guide. After a full visit, head west to St. Louis. On this travel day, enjoy scenery of Kentucky, Indiana, and Illinois before arriving in St. Louis just in time for you to grab a bite to eat and enjoy a night at the hotel, perhaps playing cards or catching up with friends! Day 9-
With our minds full of new history and stomachs full of breakfast we make our way back to Omaha. Relax and enjoy the drive through the “Show Me” state, talking with friends about the spectacular time experiencing the Civil War on an the The Biltmore and Charleston bus tour Excite experience. (B)
