Day 1 – Travel on a once in a lifetime experience to Spain!This 13 day tour full of unique wineries, delicious eats, and beautiful sights will surely be a trip you will never forget!This tour was designed at a slower pace so that you can enjoy and take everything in!The first day you’ll depart for Bilbao, in Northern Spain, where our adventure begins.

Day 2 – Your overnight flight takes you to Bilbao where you’ll land mid-day, check into your hotel and rest up before a spectacular Welcome dinner! Once arrived, spend time beachside relaxing in the sand or strolling the shops and restaurants along the beach. After checking into your hotel, enjoy a spectacular Welcome dinner with the group featuring local cuisine! Your first night in Spain is sure to be breathtaking! (D)

Day 3 – Today starts your truly unique culinary experience!  After breakfast, join the group for a short drive to Logroño! Head off to Calle Laurel for a Tapas crawl! Calle Laurel is the famous food street in Logroño! The group will explore several Tapas bars or you can venture off on your own to find a perfect fit for your liking. On the way back to Bilbao visit the CVNE Winery, known for its Tempaño wine! After exploring the winery and enjoying their wine, head back to Bilbao for a night full of possibilities. The town is hosting its largest festival, Aste Nagusia, known for its circus, vendors, and fireworks displays every night! (B)

Day 4 – Today, take a day trip to San Sebastian! A short drive will take us to our morning stop, an Euskal Txerria Ham farm! Learn how they make this delicious ham from raising the pig to the final product. After our visit, finish the drive to San Sebastian, a gorgeous seaside town where you can enjoy lunch and time on the beach! You could also explore the many wonderful shops and sights in San Sebastian! Ater a splendid afternoon by the sea, head back to Bilbao for our last night in the city. (B)

Day 5 – After breakfast, check out of the hotel and travel along the ruta del Queso de Cabrales, which is the Spanish Cheese route, stopping to taste cheese this region is famous for! We will stop in San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, for the famous “Dragonstone Steps” from Game of Thrones! Explore this amazing sight for a few hours along with the beautiful seaside town. Four of the award-winning cheeses made here include Cabrales, Gamonéu, Afuega’l pitu and Casín. Visit a cheese cave and talk with the farmer who is responsible for this masterpiece! The cheese is in caves because they provide the exact temperatures and humidity needed to store and age cheese. The next stop is Las Arenas, Spain. Once arrived, you’ll be checked into your hotel with time to rest before finding dinner featuring local cuisine and wine! (B)

Day 6 – This morning is a real treat! Las Arena is hosting a cheese festival! Walk out of your hotel and explore the festival featuring the regions most famous cheeses! Then, you’re headed to Castillo del Buen Amor! Pictured above, you’ll enjoy two nights in this majestic castle! The Castle has its origin in the eleventh century. ​The lack of defensive landscape precipitated the construction of the enormous moat that surrounds the castle. Tonight, join the group for a dinner in the castle, a unique experience that is sure to delight! (B, D)

Day 7 – Imagine waking up in a gorgeous castle, getting ready for the day and then wandering down the warm sandstone halls to breakfast! Today is a day for yourself to relax and explore the castle grounds. You could schedule a massage, enjoy a wine tasting, have a picnic in the garden, enjoy a glass of wine in the Cloisters or walk the gardens. There will also be an optional excursion to a sheep cheese dairy that includes a tour of the facility, tasting, cheese cutting class and meet the Shepard, Ivan. (B)

Day 8 – Enjoy one last morning in the castle enjoying breakfast before heading south. You’ll travel through the Spanish countryside to a beautiful Iberico Ham Farm. You’ll get to understand what made this ham so famous and taste for yourself how delicious it is. Continuing to the south of Spain, you’ll arrive to Seville! It’s famous for flamenco dancing and popular cuisine! Major landmarks include the ornate Alcázar castle complex, built during the Moorish Almohad dynasty, and the 18th-century Plaza de Toros de la Maestranza bullring. The Gothic Seville Cathedral is the site of Christopher Columbus’s tomb and a minaret turned bell tower, the Giralda. Seville will be your base for the next few days! (B)

Day 9 – This morning, wake up in your local hotel to an amazing breakfast in old town Seville! Today you’ll partake in a unique tour of an olive field and mill! Take a short morning drive to visit the town of Carmona! Explore the mill with the farmer in the warm sun, tasting your way through the process of olive oil making! Then enjoy a local lunch in Carmona! Late this afternoon, explore the spectacular city of Seville! Visit the Plaza de España, Catedral de Sevilla, or La Giralda! (B, L)

Day 10 – It’s time to explore Cádiz, an ancient port city in the southwest of Spain! It has more than 100 watchtowers, including the iconic Torre Tavira, which was traditionally used for spotting ships. You’ll have a chance to see some of the city and experience local food and drinks! After lunch, head to Tavira Tower to see if you can spot your own ships! After the tower, head out to Jerez de la Frontera. The hills are full of vineyards, Sherry vineyards to be exact! You’ll stroll the vineyard and learn how Sherry is created. After a full day, head back to your hotel in Seville. Perhaps grab a glass of wine and sit with your feet in your rooftop pool! (B, L)

Day 11 – Enjoy one last breakfast in the magical city of Seville. Board your motorcoach and head north to Madrid! On the way, visit Espadas Mariano Zamorano, a Spanish sword factory. Known for their swords, sabres, daggers and more! Zamoranos have kept the craftsmanship of the Toledo Sword from the very beginning! Take a tour to see the skill it takes to craft these masterpieces. Then, check into your fabulous hotel in Madrid! The night is yours to explore or relax. The city never sleeps! (B)

Day 12 – Today is free to explore Madrid! Madrid is a city of elegant boulevards and expansive, manicured parks. It’s renowned for its rich collection of European art, including the Prado Museum. The heart of old Hapsburg Madrid is the portico-lined Plaza Mayor, and nearby is the baroque Royal Palace and Armory. If you need help getting started, your guide will be able to help you plan your day! Meet the group for your farewell dinner, then perhaps grab a drink at the hotel bar with your fellow travelers to share some laughs and stories from this once in a lifetime trip to España! (B, D)

Day 13 – This morning, fill up on your last Spanish breakfast!  Then board your coach to head to the airport.  Having visited Spain, you’ll have a new appreciation and appetite for all of their spectacular food traditions. (B)
