WEDNESDAY, AUG. 18 | Depart the USA
Depart Norfolk and travel to Omaha for our flight across the Atlantic. Enjoy in-flight entertainment and meal service as you travel to start your vacation.

THURSDAY, AUG. 19 | Glasgow Arrival
After landing at Glasgow Airport, complete customs and immigration formalities. Your Scottish tour guide will welcome you to Scotland and escort you and your luggage to the coach. Next, set off on a panoramic tour
to see the highlights of Glasgow. Drive around George Square, filled with statues of Sir Walter Scott, Queen Victoria and other influential people. See the Victorian City Chambers, opened in 18888 by Queen Victoria. Pass Glasgow Cathedral, a splendid 12th century Gothic building dedicated to St Mungo, the patron saint of the city. Stop to visit Provand’s Lordship, Glasgow’s oldest house built in 1471. The house was originally part of a hospital and has been extensively restored and furnished. After, motor a short distance to your hotel, check in and settle into your room. In the evening, join your fellow travelers for a welcome drink followed by dinner in the hotel restaurant. FRIDAY, AUG. 20 | Loch Ness Cruise
Today, embark on an orientation drive along Loch Lomond, which is renowned in song and for the unsurpassed beauty of its natural surroundings. Drive through the Glencoe Region, an area know for the Massacre of
Glen Coe in 1692. During the massacre the Campbells slaughtered many of the Macdonald clan. Continue your travel into Fort William for a look around before setting off on a one-hour circular cruise from Clansman Harbour across the mysterious waters of Loch Ness. Savor the loch’s facts and legends with the on-board audio. Don’t forget to look out from Nessie with help from the on-board sonar! After, transfer to your hotel in Inverness, check in and enjoy some free time before dining with your group in the hotel restaurant. Dinner and overnight: Palace Hotel, Inverness

SATURDAY, AUG. 21 | Blair Atholl Distillery
Departing Inverness, journey into Pitlochry and stop to visit the Blair Atholl Distillery, where you will see the process of whiskey production and mull over the unique flavor as you sample a wee dram. Next, travel into St. Andrews and set off on a panoramic tour of the town, where golf originated. After, continue your drive into the lively city of Edinburgh, check into your hotel and spend some time at leisure before this evening’s festivities.
Tonight, head to a unique Scottish venue, for dinner followed by a traditional Scottish ceilidh. The night includes lively music, dancing and of course the ceremonial Haggis. Overnight: Leonardo Royal Hotel, Edinburgh

SUNDAY, AUG. 22 | Edinburgh Sightseeing
This morning embark on a guided tour of Edinburgh to see some of the city’s magnificent highlights. During your tour, you will travel through the Old Town and of course along the Royal Mile. If time permits, you will also see the Palace of Holyroadhouse, St. Giles Cathedral and even the National Museum of Scotland. Stop to tour the imposing Edinburgh Castle, perched high above the city on volcanic rock and dominates the skyline. The castle has been involved in many historical conflicts from the War of Scottish Independence to the Jacobite Rising in 1745 and even acted as a military prison during both World wars. After your visit, return to your nearby hotel, where the balance of the day is free to sightsee, shop and dine on your own. Overnight: Leonardo Royal Hotel, Edinburgh

MONDAY, AUG. 23 | Scotland to Ireland
After breakfast travel into Cairnryan and take a ferry ride across the narrow channel between Scotland and Ireland into Larne, just outside Belfast. Upon arrival, meet your Irish driver/guide who will welcome you to Ireland and escort you and your luggage to the coach. Next, journey into Belfast and set off on a guided tour to see the Albert Memorial, the Opera House and Crown Liquor Saloon. Stop to visit Titanic Belfast to learn about the evolution of the Titanic from concept until her ill-fated end in 1912. Motor a short distance to your hotel, check in and settle into your room. This evening dine with your group in the hotel restaurant. Dinner & overnight: Grand Central Hotel, Belfast

TUESDAY, AUG. 24 | Galway Sightseeing
Today, journey through Ireland’s rolling hills into Galway and set off on a panoramic tour to see the principal sights of the city. See the Spanish Arch in the Claddagh area, the City Museum and the Cathedral of Our Lady, which is built on the site of the former county jail. After, drive a short distance to your hotel, check in and enjoy the rest of the day free to sightsee, shop and dine on your own. Overnight Galmont Hotel, Galway

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 25 | Cliffs of Moher
After breakfast, drive along the coast of scenic County Clare and stop to visit the Cliffs of Moher, one of Ireland’s most beloved, natural landmarks. See magical vistas, overlooking the shimmering Atlantic Ocean along with Ireland’s Western coastline. After your visit, take a short ferry ride across the River Shannon Estuary. Then, continue your journey into Killarney, check into your hotel and settle into your room. In the evening, dine with your fellow travelers in the hotel restaurant. THURSDAY, AUG. 26 | Dingle Peninsula
This morning, discover the beauties of the Dingle Peninsula, once described by the National Geographic Traveler as “the most beautiful place on earth.” Drive along the south shore of the peninsula for plenty of vistas of heathery mountains, sandy stretches of beach, stunning green landscapes and rocky headlands. Pause at strategic locations to admire the views and take photos. Transfer to your hotel, check in and spend the remainder of the day at leisure for independent activities and dining. FRIDAY, AUG. 27 | Blarney Castle
Departing Dingle travel into Blarney, where you can climb the battlements of Blarney Castle and kiss the famous “Stone of Eloquence.” Then, continue your journey through Ireland’s countryside into the city of Dublin. Upon arrival, set off on a historic pub crawl of Dublin. Visit famous pubs and bars
in the Temple Bar area, where you can also sample some of Irish culture and entertainment. After, motor a short distance to your hotel, check in and settle into your room. In the evening, meet your group for dinner at a local pub. Overnight Ashling Hotel, Dublin

SATURDAY, AUG. 28 | Husker Football Game
Today we drive to Aviva Stadium, a sporting stadium with a capacity of 51,700 spectators. It is also commonly known as Lansdowne Road with UEFA refers to it as the Dublin Arena. The stadium opened May 14, 2010 and is built on the site of the old Lansdowne Road Venue. Illinois will challenge Nebraska in what will be an exciting Big 10 opener for both teams. Independent dinner this evening. Overnight: Ashling Hotel, Dublin

SUNDAY, AUG. 29 | Dublin Sightseeing
This morning, set off with a local guide who will show you around Dublin. The city has been molded through the centuries by economic, political and artistic influences that have shaped its architecture. Stop to tour Guinness Storehouse to see exhibits on how this world-famous stout was first created and why it is so popular today. Finish your visit in the roof-top bar, where you can sample a draft of Guinness Next, travel to visit Baily Lighthouse, which was built in 1814. After, head back to your hotel in Dublin, where the rest of the day is at leisure for individual sightseeing, shopping, dining, pubs and more. Overnight: Ashling Hotel, Dublin

MONDAY, AUG. 30 | Return to the USA
All too soon your vacation has come to its final day. Transfer to Dublin Airport in good time to check in for your flight. You may do some last minute shopping at the duty free stores before boarding your aircraft and flying across the Atlantic Ocean back to the USA. After arrival in Omaha, you’ll transfer to Norfolk.

 

FINAL DOCUMENTS

Approximately 2-3 weeks before departure detailed instructions will be sent to you. This will include departure times, list of hotels, daily itinerary, health form, luggage tags, etc.

DEPOSIT/PAYMENT/CANCELLATION SCHEDULE

A $500 deposit per person is due to make a reservation. A second deposit of $500 is due by Oct. 31, 2020. Final payment is due on May 1, 2021.

Please pay by check as credit card processing fees are not built into the tour cost. A 3.5% fee will be assessed for any credit card charges.

For individual cancellations from booking to Aug. 31,2020, $250 cancel fee applies. Cancellations from Sept. 1-Dec. 31, 2020, a $500 fee applies. For cancellations from Jan. 1, 2021-April 30, 2021, a $1,000 cancel fee applies. Cancellations after May 1, 2021 are non-refundable. All fees are per person. No refunds will be issued for unused ground transportation or for other services provided and not used by the participant.

Cancellation insurance is recommended. Please ask us for a brochure.

REVISION FEE

For changes made to a reservation after Oct. 31, 2020, a $50 revision fee is charged per booking for clients who revise their plans.
