Join us on a quilters paradise trip as you make your way down to Houston Texas for the International Quilt Festival! It is the largest quilt festival in the US with over 55,000 people in attendance each year. Explore over 1000 booths featuring quilts, fabric, supplies, and crafts along with 550 classes and lectures! This tour has you covered with hotels, motor coach transportation, 8 meals, activities and a group of great people!


Day 1 – Wednesday Oct 30

>Savage Quilter Shop

Join your fellow quilters for an amazing trip south to Texas! Leave the cold of late fall, for the warmth of the south! Today you’ll travel to Oklahoma City! Along the way you’ll enjoy getting to know each other and even use the Accuquilt machine to cut patterns! We’ll stop for lunch at a 50’s diner! Once in Oklahoma City, we’ll visit a quilt shop to explore their 9000 bolts of fabric. Then, enjoy a fantastic welcome dinner with the group. The rest of the night is yours to explore in Bricktown, right around your hotel. This area is full of nightlife and places to stroll! (D)


Day 2 – Thursday Oct 31

>Quilters Crossing

Today, enjoy a full breakfast before continuing on to finish your journey. As you make your way south, enjoy the changes in scenery from the plains of the desert to the flatlands of Texas. Enjoy a two hour class at Quilters Crossing! Finally your travel day will come to rest in Houston! Your hotel is the fabulous AC Hotel Houston Downtown! Once checked in and freshened up, join the group for a fabulous dinner. Then, the rest of the night is yours to start exploring Houston! (B,D)


Day 3 – Friday Nov 1

>International Quilt Festival

Today is all about the quilts! The festival is just six blocks from our hotel! Enjoy over 1000 booth of every quilting accessory and fabric you can imagine! There are over 550 classes and lectures that you can sign up for. The day is completely yours. You can also choose to go to the Houston Quilters Museum. This is an all day event and must be purchased online. *In order to sign up for classes and lectures, you must register and pay for yourself online. More details to come. (B)


Day 4 – Saturday Nov 2

*Galveston Dinner Cruise $60pp

Today you can spend another entire day at the festival!  There is so much to do that you can definitely fill up two days learning new techniques and picking up all kinds of new patterns. Then, you have the option to go to Galveston and enjoy some time by the ocean! You will enjoy a spectacular sunset dinner cruise with a buffet dinner and music! Otherwise, stay in Houston and enjoy the area around your hotel, with lots of shops and places to dine! (B, D)


Day 5 – Sunday Nov 3

Today you start your journey north, back towards home. On the bus, you’ll enjoy catching up with everyone and hearing about all of the great new things they learned at the conference. There may even be a surprise stop at another quilting store! Once arrived in Oklahoma City for the night, enjoy the evening with friends at your hotel back in Bricktown or enjoy some of the local nightlife. (B)


Day 6 – Monday Nov 5

>Glaciers Edge Winery

The final day of your quilting spectacular starts with breakfast at the hotel. You’ll have an early afternoon stop today where you’ll have the chance to explore a beautiful winery, Glaciers Edge! Finally, you’ll arrive home, ready to take on your next masterpiece quilt with new tools, tips, and techniques! Better yet, a bunch of new quilting friends to keep in touch with! (B)
