Day 1 –
>>Welcome Dinner

Today our journey to the pas begins!  Battlefields and Southern charm await as we make our way to the East Coast.  Lunch will take us to Kansas City for some amazing BBQ, followed by a quick afternoon break.  Tonight we welcome everyone with a fantastic Italian dinner together.  After dinner, the night is yours. (D)

Day 2 –
>>Knoxville National Cemetery
>>Market Square

Enjoy a full breakfast this morning before heading out for a day on the road@  Once we arrive in Knoxville, TN we will check into our hotel, then check out Market Square and the Knoxville National Cemetery. Dinner and Knoxville are yours to explore on your own tonight! (B)

Day 3 –

Our beautiful drive today will feature mountains and rolling hills as we make our way to Charleston.  Founded in 1670, Charleston is the oldest city in South Carolina and is named after King Charles II.  Full of history and architecture, there is so much to be discovered here.  Check into your hotel before heading out to meet the group!  Tonight, dine together with everyone then enjoy some time to get acquainted with this historic downtown! (B,D)

Day 4 –
>>Magnolia Plantation & Gardens
>>Drayton Hall
*”Cruise into the Past” boat tour

Breakfast will fill you up before exploring the city!  See the Nathanial Russell House, Drayton Hall, the Magnolia Plantation & Gardens, Boone Hall, USS Yorktown, Battery Point, Cooper River Bridge, Castle Pinkney, and other sites from the past and present.  Our day will be packed full of history and excitement!  Perhaps even take a cruise to get another perspective on the “Holy City” seeing over 75 landmarks and points of interest. (B)

Day 5 –
>>Broxton Bridge Plantation

We depart Charleston for Chattanooga this morning.  Our first stop of the day will be the historic Broxton Bridge Plantation.  After visiting this sprawling plantation we will continue on to Tennessee.  Our spectacular downtown hotel will be the perfect sop to head out and enjoy and of the delicious downtown Chattanooga restaurants. (B)

Day 6 –
>>Battlefield of Chattanooga
>>Lookout Point Park
>>Country Music Hall of Fame

Chattanooga is full of history!  On this morning city tour, you’ll get an in depth look at the past, present, and future of this city.  After the morning tour, we will visit Pointe Park, “Death knell of the Confederacy”.  Spectacular views and deep history are all around from the top of Lookout Mountain.  Visit the battlefield of Chattanooga, the first national military park!  During the Spanish-American War it was used as a training center for troops in Southern states!  Then, its back to the hotel to freshen up for a visit to the Country Music Hall of Fame! (B)

Day 7 –
>>Franklin Battlefield

The Franklin Battlefield will bring history to life.  Known as the “bloodiest battle of the Civil War”, find out what exactly happened here and how it played a critical role in the Civil War.  Your guided tour includes lunch and a fantastic civil war guide.  After a full visit, head west to St. Louis just in time for you to grab a bite to eat and enjoy a night at the hotel, perhaps playing cards or catching up with friends by the bar! (B,L)

Day 8 –

With our minds fill of new history and stomachs full of breakfast we make our way back to Omaha.  Relax and enjoy the drive through the “Show Me” state, talking with friends about the spectacular time you had experiencing the Civil War time on an Excite Experience! (B)
